Love Song From Maya Angelou by Robert Frost
Many people do not realize that there are many old Spanish songs that can be enjoyed today just as they would have in old days. In fact, many older Spanish songs, particularly “Old Maid” and “Resolution” have just as much relevance today as they did back then.
Old songs that are sung in old Spain or which features Spanish words and phrases that aren’t in everyday use can have a very powerful effect on you. Today these songs can be added to your repertoire of old Spanish songs to help you with your studying.
As a lover of older music I have longed for a compilation of old Spanish songs that would somehow bring the music to life for my studies. I longed for the lyrics to be relevant and interesting. This project was therefore created to be a collation of the many older songs that were in my collection. There are many genres of Spanish songs and Old Maid is one of them.
The lyrics in this song deal with the dissimilarities between old and young, old and fresh, dark and light, and God and the devil.
This song has become one of my favorites. In fact it is often played in classrooms when the teacher wants to teach children about the dissimilarities between old and new ones. Even some church congregations, which may not have Christian music groups, have made use of the song. For many, especially the old timers, hearing this song often in its old time original flavor is very comforting. And for me it is an uplifting song that helps me to see good things in the future.
One of my favorite Spanish songs, in this category, is “Old Maid” by Jose Montoya. Although this is one of my oldest Spanish songs, it is also one of my most loved ones. It is very romantic and in my opinion is perfect for lovers or anyone wanting to invoke feelings of longing and desire. This beautiful Spanish song says that old ones should be kept young and for all the people who have had the courage to follow their dreams, this song is a good reminder.
I particularly like this part of the song because the old ones must be respected and treated well if they are to be kept young and alive. This is a message that resonates with me. As an actor, I have found that the things that make me happy or help me relax or inspire me are things that others would consider to be quite old or boring. What is important is that old ones are valued and cherished as much as young ones.
In this category I include one of my all-time favorite poems, written by Robert Frost: “The Phoenix Dance.”
This is a poem about how the life we lead determines our happiness and how that happiness is to be found. Many people would say that this is just another old and boring poem. This poem, however, is much more than just another poem about being old and bored.
In many ways, Robert Frost was absolutely correct. While it is true that the Phoenix Dance is not for everyone, it is for many and it is meant to be. Frost was absolutely correct when he wrote that the love of a man for a woman is based on many factors, none of which are his physical appearance or wealth. He was absolutely right when he wrote that a man’s love for a woman is based on his admiration of her mind and spirit. The love between a man and a woman is indeed a beautiful thing and when it is shared it is such a joy that the poet feels.
Many songwriters often work with music experts who help them create the music for their songs. When these songwriters hear a piece of music that they truly enjoy, they often try to find a poet who has written about the same subject. If they find someone they feel the writer can do justice to the song, the two songwriters will work together on a song that will be great both socially and spiritually. A beautiful love song is often the result.
