A Shakespeares Kingdom Poem by Alfred Noyes
A Shakespeares Kingdom poem is based on the life of William Shakespeare, also known as William Shakespeare. King William was known for his greatness during his reign. As a matter of fact, it was said that even the king would often get into trouble just to get things done. He was known to always be surrounded by advisers and friends.
King William’s mother always told him that he should not sit too long in court thinking that people were always trying to put him in difficult situations. However, he did spend so much time there thinking about various things. It is said that he spent so much time thinking about how his life would turn out after he was king. It would also explain why he was always surrounded by people who could think outside the box.
This is exactly what the “Shakespeare’s kingdom” poem by Alfred Noakes did. The poem talks about how some people would manipulate others through words alone. They would say nice things about them in front of everyone while they secretly have their own plans for the other person.
Such actions would always end badly. The writer of the poem takes note that these people are not aware that they are doing it. It is usually done in secret and behind closed doors.
There were times that the King would get tired of people manipulating him and would ban them from the court.
Such things are very usual. However, William Shakespeare did not do that. He never stopped others from talking bad about him in front of everyone except for his queen.
Queen Elizabeth did not like to play any games with other people. In fact, she was very cautious about people she knew. It is said that once a lady had tamed her horse, she was no longer a lady. Therefore, if people gave her bad reports about her, it would ruin her image as a great Queen.
Some people may criticize the way the Queen acted in the plays. After all, the audience does not like her to play the part of a villainess all the time. But in order to win the crown for herself, she had to prove that she was a hero. Her actions in “Hamlet” were very heroic.
The playwright, though, did not really intend the audience to see the same side of the character. He only wanted to show the typical qualities of a good monarch. She was an intelligent person who showed respect for the people around her. She tried to make a peaceful and trusting relationship with her husband and her people. Her only downfall was her ruthless and greedy desire for power. She even went as far as to kill her own husband to get that power for herself.
Alfred Shakespeare is responsible for the most well-known play in history. Every time I hear someone bring up the quote “Shakespeare wrote that”, I smile. No one can take away from the greatness of his work. His language reaches the hearts and minds of everyone. He is considered a master of drama. It is impossible to ever refute the greatness of this man and his influence on our culture.
This Shakespeares Kingdom poem was originally written for Henry IV’s reign. Most of it is dedicated to Queen Mary.
However, it does add a little bit of leeway in terms of its content. It is mostly centered on the king’s thoughts on honor and loyalty. Queen Mary was the most revered woman of that time.
Some have suggested that this may have been written as a way to honor her by her royal husband, King Henry. After all, King Henry was a devout Christian and made sure that his actions were consistent with those teachings. In any event, this noble man had four daughters who he loved very much. He surrounded himself with other good men including two queens. Queen Cleopatra was fond of him and invited him to her court. She seduced him and he became her husband.
When you read the play, it is easy to tell that the fatherly sentiments are meant to be heartfelt. The queen in question had been widowed by her husband and shined in the eyes of the many that knew her. You can also see that the Shakespeare was influenced by the society he found himself in. He based some of his characters on the rich and powerful men of that time.
